Training

We train on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6.30pm with a longer, slow, social run from 8.00am on Sunday.

For much of the year most midweek sessions are in Coltishall.  From October to March, we meet in Hoveton on Tuesdays and have two groups on Thursdays; one in Norwich and one in North Walsham.  These sessions usually last just over an hour, including cool-down stretches.

Sunday runs mostly start in Coltishall throughout the year although we do have a monthly Norwich run and occasionally run from other locations.

Unlike many other clubs, we alternate run and effort nights each week.  One week we will run on the Tuesday with a more structured session on the Thursday, the following week these will be swapped.  This is to give runners who can only make one evening a week the opportunity to enjoy both types of session.

We have members who run at a wide range of speeds. From sub 20-minute 5k runners to a run-walk-run group, so you will always be able to find someone to train with.  Our coaches will amend structured training for different ability groups and offer different length runs.

If you would like to give us a go, we would love to meet and run with you.  In the first instance please contact the Head Coach for an informal chat.  He will ensure you have the correct location for your first session and make the lead coach aware that you are coming.
