Virgin London Marathon – 26 April 2015
Well after all the hard work and dedicated training, the Jolly Jags headed to the big city for the most amazing race!!
Ellie Bye, Alan Bushell, Zep Ciarla, Sze Ming Cheung, Ken Bowman, Emily Hannant, Dean Blake, Fiona Baldwin, Clare Hicks and Shirley Wilcock were this years’ lucky chosen few!!
Weather started off cold and a little drizzly, and the bin bags came in handy!!! The rain eased off and the day stayed dry and cool, perfect running conditions!!
A phenomenal race, the crowd roared and cheered throughout the 26.2 miles, an amazing support to all the runners. Not to mention the fantastic support of our own crowd of Jaguars and that amazing orange flag that could be seen from afar!!!
The cheering continued by the whole restaurant at Pizza Express in Bishopsgate!! A well deserved pizza after and glass of prosecco for Becky who was celebrating her birthday!!
Some fantastic times, including qualifying for ‘good for age’ and possible automatic entry to next years’ marathon for Ellie and Ken and PBs for Alan and Fiona!!
An incredible achievement that everyone who took part should be proud of!
