Holt 10K

Eight of our Orange Army ran in NNBR’s popular autumn multi-terrain 10K based at the picturesque grounds of Gresham School.

First home was proud, new dad Mark Harmer, who ran a gold standard time of 40:47. The sub 40 barrier, again, eludes him despite a 18:51 recent ParkRun  – keep plugging away Mark, it will come and when it does, it will be the norm.

There seems to be a pattern emerging in Jags veteran ladies running – run fast parkruns regularly and expect the prize to be a new 10K PB along with an age-category record. Top performance goes to Vicky Tovell, unofficially scoring a PB and to boot, unofficially breaking the Women’s 40-44 age category record in a gold standard time of 46:49. Make it official, Vicky – choose a full road race, keep the momentum up and do it…very soon!

Deb Jones makes a welcome return to racing in her new age category “sneaking” in a sub 50 time of 49:51 (silver).

Father and son team, Graham Johnson (48:45, bronze) and Tom Johnson (43:41, silver) ran their first 10Ks for the club.
