Perkins Great Eastern Run
An all male cast stars in this year’s “flat and fast” Peterborough Half Marathon. Ben Dennington romped past the finishing line first for the Jags in a new PB chip time of 1:28:06 (Gold) and breaking the 90 minute barrier for the first time impressively knocking some five minutes off his previous best at the same race last year. Stand on the start line next time if you want a better time and not get caught up, Ben!
Next to come in was Stewart Marden in 1:40:27 – an increase in time of over 6 minutes from his PB at this distance from last year at the same race and 27 seconds shy of Gold standard. Come on Mr. Marden, you can do better – much better!
Martin Bagnall, on the other hand, is making steady progress and improved on his last HM event back in March this year, completing the race in 1:46:21 (Silver). Completing the “four amigos”, Paul Gerber ran a chip time of 1:59:02.
