LDWA Daffodil Dawdle 30th March 2014
The Daffodil Dawdle, now in its 25th year, was a successful event in more ways than one: “What a difference a year makes! No snow, fine weather and almost no mud. A record entry and a record number of finishers!” is how the Results Editor, David Laight described the event. Our very own Ben Letzer, gave the 26.6 mile long route “ultramarathon” distance a crack (yes, anything over 26.2 marathon distance is deemed an “ultramarathon”!). Finishing in 4 hours dead, Ben placed joint second in a field where approximately half “ran” the Long Distance Walkers’ Association event.
