Cambridge Duathlon
Whilst several jaguars took on the London Marathon, one member went to the “number two” national sporting event today – The Cambridge Duathlon (7.5k run/40k bike/7.5k run) held in the village of Bottisham on the outskirts of the City itself. With participation in Ironman Sweden looming, Richard Collyer’s race aim was to try and keep pacing comfortable, ultimately attempting to run the second leg quicker than the first – which he achieved. His split times of 34:16/1:17:01/33:56 culminated in a finish time of 2:27:39 placing him 54th overall and 4th in the 45-49 age category.
