Great Yarmouth 5 mile series race 3
The final race in this years series brought another excellent set of results. Steve Bates took the overall series win in the VM40 category with another sub 30. He was beaten into 3rd place in that category on the day by Matt Stone, who in his first 5 mile race for the club took the club record for the distance. Ellie Bye won the prize for 1st Senior Female on the day with an excellent pb, whilst Ken Bowman gained his 3rd consecutive pb in the series, 2nd place in the VM60 category and club record in his age category. Jackie Bye took 3rd place in the VF45 category at the same time running another pb and taking the club record in her age group.
This was yet another excellent day for the club as 8 of the 16 club members who took part gained personal best times.
