Round Norfolk Relay

RNR Report by Becky Durant

The weekend of 15th /16th September was a very exciting and busy one for the Jaguars. Whilst three brave members ran up and down hundreds of steps in Lowestoft, 17 others raced round Norfolk, covering exactly 197 miles between them.

It was very hot at 9:30 Saturday morning when, amidst shouts of excitement from fans and supporters, our first runner left Kings Lynn. It was still hot 24 hours and two minutes later when our last runner galloped across the finishing line to be greeted by a host of Golden Cheers from tired but excited Jaguar Supporters.

We did well. We came fourth in the Club Class Category and 11th overall out of 58 Teams. The success of the race was due largely to the diligent preparation of the runners and the precision of the helpers. If there was a prize for the slickest, neatest handovers we would surely have won.

A huge “thank you” to everyone who made this weekend such fun. Only another year before the next RNR.   RNR Website
