Bungay Marathon and Half Marathon
With Ben Letzers recent ultra running efforts a mere marathon must have seemed like a sprint to him and so it proved. Ben finished in 3rd place overall and in the process smashed the club marathon record with an amazing gold standard time of 2.51.33 (6.32 min/mile!!). Adrian Fletcher completed the distance for the first time and despite feeling unwell at the 18 mile mark, showed true grit to complete the distance in a very respectable 4.12.24.
In the half marathon seven Jaguars crossed the finish line with Jon Howe taking the first spot for the club in a gold standard 1.31.49. Krysia Smith ran the distance for the first time, achieving her goal of finishing under 2 hours with a bronze standard 1.59.16. Dave Egerton ran a silver standard pb in 1.38.46.
