Lode Half Marathon – 1 November 2015

Another perfect running day despite a little mist, there was no wind and the temperature held up nicely with a little Autumnal sunshine to finish.

The village of Lode is adjacent to Anglesey Abbey in Cambridgeshire on the Fens, so the route was pretty flat. The run was an out and back which I find much better than two laps.
I am beginning to like these smaller more intimate halves, there is less pressure and a friendly atmosphere, and of course as with our club, cakes are right up there with the best.
I would encourage anyone to try these smaller field races, I am taken with them, they make a good day out, so once again would do again.
Time wise I managed to knock over a minute off my pb ending up with 1.32.11 finishing 26th and 3rd in my age group.
